What we do01 / 09

Every fuel terminal is built on a promise: nothing leaks out. SandSeal MS® is the liquid-applied barrier that keeps that promise, sealing the bund into one continuous, impervious surface that water, fire and time can't break.

Applied over your existing infrastructure, around every footing, pipe and penetration, while the terminal keeps running.

Pristine water beside a fuel terminal Protecting the ground, the water table and everything downstream
The cost of failure02 / 09

One compromised bund can mean hydrocarbons in the water table, an EPA breach, a halted terminal and a reputation that doesn't recover.

A bund is the last line of defence. It faces constant attack, and every weakness is a liability waiting to surface.

01

Impact

Daily equipment, vehicle traffic and non-catastrophic collision wearing the bund down.

02

Chemical exposure

Constant attack from hydrocarbons and corrosive substances.

03

Movement

Pipework, infrastructure and geological shift breaking bund integrity.

04

Lifecycle

Age, UV and wear degrading the surface over time.

Before & after

From liability to sealed.

This is the turnaround. The same bund, bare and cracked on one side, sealed and impervious on the other. Grab the handle to compare.

The system03 / 09

The end of the membrane compromise.

Traditional liners force a brutal trade-off: shut the terminal, lose tank volume, accept slow, seam-prone installs. SandSeal MS® is applied as a liquid that forms one continuous, impermeable surface, no seams, no shutdown, no lost capacity.

The old way

  • Terminal shutdown during installation
  • Bund volume lost to membrane depth
  • Seams and joints, points of failure
  • Hard to adapt around footings & pipework
  • Costly to inspect, repair and replace
SandSeal MS®

The liquid barrier

  • Site stays fully operational, zero downtime
  • No loss of bund volume
  • One continuous, seamless impervious surface
  • Flows around footings, pipes & complex infrastructure
  • Impact damage repaired in minimal time and cost

How it works04 / 09

From prepared ground to proven barrier.

A site-specific design, then a clean, sequenced application, engineered for your exact bund geometry and tested under pressure before handover.

STEP 01

Site design & trial

Every project starts with a site-specific design and a pre-project compatibility trial, so performance is guaranteed before a single litre is applied.

STEP 02

Surface preparation

Washed, crushed aggregate (PAP7) is laid as a clean, stable substrate across the bund floor and walls, the foundation for a flawless seal.

STEP 03

Liquid application

SandSeal MS® is applied directly as a liquid, flowing around footings and pipework and self-levelling into one seamless, impervious surface.

Tested, not promised05 / 09

Proven under pressure, literally.

Before any SandSeal MS® bund is handed over, it's put through the two tests that matter most: water containment and live load.

Hydro testing
HYDRO TEST

Holds water. Holds everything.

The sealed bund is flooded and held, confirming a fully impervious surface against the walls and floor.

Heavy vehicle load testing
LOAD TEST

Tolerant of all vehicle activity.

Rated for full heavy-vehicle traffic with a defined anti-skid surface for walkways and operations.

Compliance & assurance07 / 09

Common questions08 / 09

Answers, before you ask.

The questions terminal operators and prospective applicators ask most. Anything else, ask us directly below.

What is SandSeal MS®?

SandSeal MS® is a liquid-applied, impermeable secondary containment system for fuel terminal bunds. It is applied directly over existing infrastructure and cures into one continuous surface with no seams or joints.

How is it installed without shutting the terminal down?

The system is applied as a liquid while the terminal keeps operating. There is no tank emptying, no lost capacity and no interruption to site operations, so installation causes zero days of downtime.

Does it reduce bund capacity?

No. Unlike membrane liners, nothing is built up inside the bund, so no containment volume is lost.

Which standards does it meet?

SandSeal MS® meets EPA standards including COD and BOD requirements. The system is non-flammable, contains no VOCs, is non-hazardous and provides an anti-skid, slip-resistant surface for walkways and vehicles.

What happens if the surface is damaged?

Impact damage is repaired rapidly and at low cost. Every installation is also verified with on-site hydro and heavy-vehicle load testing before handover, so the surface is proven before we leave site.

How do I become a licensed applicator?

Licensing follows four steps: submit an enquiry about your territory, an introductory call, a licensee questionnaire completed under NDA, then a customised business proposal.
